A motivated individual with a creative eye for details
I’m an undergraduate in the National University of Singapore, majoring in Communications & New Media. Outside of school, I'm a freelance photojournalist & used to run a small photo booth business as well.
I believe in Kaizen. I believe in the continuous improvements throughout all aspects of life and thus coupled with the engineering skillsets that I have picked up, I am consistently trying to find ways to “eliminate waste” to increase productivity in my daily life.
Despite having started out a small business and
failed (never a failure, always a learning experience), I am determined to be better than I was the day before.
As I embark on this learning journey in New York, not only do I wish to be able to further hone my entrepreneurial, marketing as well as operations skills. I’d also like to broaden my perspectives and make connections that would last a lifetime.
I am a motivated & driven individual with a tenacious attitude. Having hustled since I was 16, I thrive in fast-paced environments and will produce quality work even under pressure.
As a man of few words, I’ll let the visuals do the talking.
Multimedia Journalist, 05/2017 - Present
Conceptualise, plan & produce multimedia (photos, videos & text) content for commercial and editorial clients.
Manage the Sport Singapore editorial content for their MyActiveSG page.
Manage and Plan the schedule and photo positions for a team of 4 photographers & writer during the Asian Para Games 2018.
Being part of a wire agency demands the highest of quality in the work I produce – working independently to produce the best images captured as well as working in a team to produce relevant yet artistically pleasing content for our clients. Apart from delivering the best, I’ve learnt to work fast and adapt to changes as well. During the Asian Games 2018, photographs captured were wirelessly transmitted to our team in Singapore to be processed and sent to clients within minutes of the event.
As things do not always go as planned, we need to always be on our feet to come out with a quick solution to the problem we face. Apart from being on the job itself, managing client’s expectations was also something I’ve picked up during my stint with Reuters.

photo story on a dying trade
“With more than 35 years of experience, the Goh brothers are the only ones
in this business of traditional coffin making based in Muar, Malaysia.
Each hand-crafted coffin will take a month to complete by the pair.
Nowadays with the advancement in technology and innovation, coupled
with the attraction of more lucrative careers, many in the younger
generation are unwilling to take on the jobs of these dying trade”
A personal project I did on these two brothers living in Muar, Malaysia still in the trade of handmade coffins. I was intrigued by their craft and wanted to tell their story. Hence, I’ve followed them for couple of months documenting their life and work to produce a zine showcasing their trade.
